Serious Egg Hunters

What a busy Easter weekend! After visiting the Adventure Science Center on Friday, we headed to Nana and Grandy's house for a cookout and easter egg hunt with cousins.

Micah got lots of candy. So much that he didn't think he'd be able to eat it all unless he got up and started working on it in the middle of the night while everyone else was asleep. The next morning I found multiple candy wrappers in mom's office where he had snuck in and raided Noah's candy too.

Then on Saturday, the kids opened their Easter baskets. That's right, Saturday. Shakin' it up a bit. They got shades, kites, candy, and lots of other fun stuff.

After lunch we went to Opry Mills and most everyone went to see Horton Hears a Who, which I'm told was very funny. I opted out. I said it was because I didn't think Sophia would be quiet enough, but it was really because I needed some alone time with an "Old" friend - Old Navy.

Ty enjoyed his Easter cupcake - a lot.

Ansley is almost walking!

Grandy and his girls.

Then on Sunday we went to church with Nana and Grandy. Afterwards we had a feast prepared by mom! I'm so thankful we were able to spend the day with our family. We are all so blessed to be able to celebrate the fact that we have a Savior who had victory over death - giving us that same victory! Happy Easter!

Many thanks to Nana and Grandy for a lovely easter weekend!

Adventure Science Center

On Friday we went to the Adventure Science Center with our much loved cousins Andy, David, and Michael. I would like to say that it was an incredible learning experience, but I will say that the boys had a lot of fun!

This picture was taken right before I had to remove Micah from the train for assaulting that sweet little boy you see standing next to him.

Big Brother

Noah loves holding Sophia. I've always made him sit down in a chair to hold her. I know he's 7 and probably perfectly capable of holding a baby standing up, but let's not forget that this is one BIG girl. She is heavy! However, last week he finally convinced me to let him hold her standing up and he did great. As you can see, they were both very excited about it.

This is beauty.
This is a beautiful little boy on a beautiful spring day!

Noah climbing a tree that will soon be full of beautiful blossoms.
A little boy who insists on riding his tricyle with a cast - beautiful.

2 brothers getting along and chatting on the porch - now that's what I call beautiful!

Hope you are all having a beautiful spring.

a cast at last

We knew it was only a matter of time.

On Wednesday Micah fell off of one of our kitchen bar stools. It was about the 50th time it's happened, but the first time it's resulted in serious injury. Yesterday the doctors decided it needed a cast. Micah chose bright purple. He is crawling around like Lieutenant Dan and still into everything. He's just limited to things close to the ground like electrical outlets and space heaters.

Otherwise, we are finally beginning to get back to normal after we all had the flu. I am ready for spring time and healthy babies!! Having everyone sick is a great reminder of how blessed we are to have healthy, active children. Here a few recent pics.
