Day 5

Last night before I turned out the light I was reading a book that was given to us by some dear friends. The title is 31 Days of Praise and I was on Day 5. After a day of feeling overwhelmed by the changes and challenges that lie ahead for us, the following paragraph from the book was most definitely God's way of bringing me comfort and peace before I closed my eyes to sleep. He is such a loving God!

"I praise you for Your sovereignty over the broad events of my life and over the details. With You, nothing is accidental, nothing is incidental, and no experience is wasted. You hold in Your own power my breath of life and all my destiny. And every trial that You allow to happen is a platform on which You reveal Yourself, showing Your love and power, both to me and to others looking on. Thank You that I can move into the future nondefensively, with hands outstretched to whatever lies ahead, for You hold the future and You will always be with me, even to my old age... and through all eternity."

I just want to praise God for the way that He gives us just what need at the very time we need it. It helps me face the uncertainty of what our future holds just to remember how faithful he has always been and promises to be. I can't wait to see what He has planned!

I can't think of anything more fitting than that. You have a great God that loves you very much and so many people who love you, Duane, Noah and Micah. I will be praying with you every step of the way.
Keep on praising!!
I love you!
